Finding inspiration while on vacation

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page."
- St. Augustine
I find some of my best inspirations whilst pursuing my other passion of travelling the world. You never know what new colours and characters you may discover in an in-ventured place. My biggest problem is trying to think of all of the possible different words to describe everything that I see. I think to myself, how would I describe this place in a story to someone who has never been here. It makes for some great descriptive notes that are later added to stories I write.
“Sometimes your most exciting adventures and furthest travels require the simple action of turning a page in your favourite book.” - Riley Maylon
I love reading adventure stories that take me places far away from myself, in every sense of the word. The more fantasy like the story the more my mind has to open to fully explore it, leaving no room for meagre things like reality.
I've just finished up an incredible exploration of Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. So many colours and incredible sights I never could've imagined. But now these feet of mine are itchy again and I'm off to the exotic land of India next week to celebrate life by joining the Holi festival. When I get back to Australia my compass will be pointed west, to the sunburnt escarpments of the Kimberley.
