Finding inspiration while in isolation

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page."
- St. Augustine
I find some of my best inspirations whilst pursuing my other passion of travelling the world. However due to recent restrictions my travel inspirations have been kind of dried up. Thankfully I have so many past adventures to look back on and feel like I'm there again. I'm writing down different travels and I swear I can almost smell the Indian spice market I visited, in my living room just from my pictures and writings and the sensory memories of it all.
“Sometimes your most exciting adventures and furthest travels require the simple action of turning a page in your favourite book.” - Riley Maylon
I love reading adventure stories that take me places far away from myself, in every sense of the word. The more fantasy like the story the more my mind has to open to fully explore it, leaving no room for meagre things like reality.
I was evicted from the beautiful Kimberley region in Western Australia a few months ago, much to my disappointment. But sometimes things happen for a reason. I'm choosing to take this entire pandemic as a sign to take some time off from the world and focus on my writing for a while.
